Have you ever had a friend in crisis while you quietly battled your own struggles? Me too. We’ll talk about that in this episode, and I’ll share ways you can be present while healing.

Reflection Prompts:

  1. Think of a time someone sat with you in your pain. How did their presence comfort you more than words could?

  2. What are your current limits — emotional, physical, spiritual? How can you honor those limits while still showing compassion?

  3. Where have you seen God use your weakness as a testimony of His strength?

Simple Rotisserie Chicken Salad

Ingredients

1 store-bought rotisserie chicken (about 3 pounds), white and dark meat hand shredded, then roughly chopped

1 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon ground mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 celery stick, diced

1 bell pepper, diced

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Mix together the hand-shredded chicken, mayonnaise, mustard, paprika, ground mustard, garlic powder, celery and bell pepper in a medium bowl.

  • Season with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 30 minutes.

  • Serve on sandwich bread, croissants, or crackers.
